It’s been a while but we’re back! Just finished a kickin’ weekend, played a club called Memories in Waldorf, Maryland with Korrupt on Friday, and turned around and did the Bourbon Street gig with Charm City Devils and our good friends from Bang Tango and Sons Of The Radio on Saturday night. If you didn’t make those, don’t worry, there’s more to come, next up a double bill with Sin 4 Sin in Sparrows Point, although we may wind up with another show sooner.

After our set at Bourbon Street, we stepped out front for an interview with Johnny Alonso and the crew from ‘Click On This’ a web show about the entertainment biz…We had fun standing in the streets of Baltimore doing an interview and trying not to get hit by any of the NASCAR dropouts and wannabes driving city buses around Baltimore on Saturday Nights. Our segment should be out around mid-October so check it out at Clickonthisshow.com.

Working hard on shows out of town for just after the first of the year – aiming for Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Canada, Europe, and maybe even Toledo.

Not much to tell right now, most of our news will be out next year, but we can tell you that the CD isn’t out yet – but it will be soon, and that we are being represented out of town by Fishnet Towers Music and we’re looking forward to some big things.

As the newest King Belvedere album goes into mixdown and mastering, the band has announced their release as late August. Come out to Bourbon St. for their Show with The Charm City Devils and Bang Tango on August 21 for a special deal. You can get tickets at the door the night of the show, they will be $17, the band has tickets for only $15 so contact KB for the pre-sale prices.

The guys are so excited to get this cd into the hands of the public that they want to make sure that their most loyal fans have the disc first. So, they have announced that anyone caught wearing their King Belvedere t-shirt to the show that night will get a FREE copy of the cd. You can still get a shirt if you don’t already have one, contact the band or go to Cycos Motorcycle in the Gambrills Business Park – 750 Route 3 South suite 2, Gambrills, Md. 21054 (www.cycosmotorcycle.com), they are now selling KB merchandise, along with a great selection of motorcycle apparel and accessories.

If you’d rather see the band in action, a free, all ages show at Kundratic Kustom Motorcycle’s 3rd annual round-up will be played on June 12th at 6310 Holabird Ave. Baltimore, Md. 21224. (www.kundratickustoms.com). The party is from noon til 5 and KB takes the stage around 3.

You could also join the band at the Jonathan Ogden’s Past and Present Car Show and Family Fun Day on Sunday, June 13th at the intersection of Red Run Blvd and Redland Court in the Owings Mills/Reisterstown area. The band will not be performing, just hanging out, having fun, and working at the dunk tank. Come on out and try to cool off Baltimore’s hottest rhythm section – if your aim is good enough.

Is Bourbon Street Still Standing?

We just wanted to know..

Last nights audience pretty much took the roof off the joint and we figured that the walls may just have caved in. KB were doing their usual jam but the audience…..

We’ll start from the beginning – Lose The Halo started the night off right, a high energy, tight band with excellent chops and great songs.

Atomic Motel followed – we played with these guys about three months ago and thought they were a decent band – not any more. Their set was polished, the songs hot and tight, and their presence on stage was excellent. Definitely an up-and-coming band.

Sin 4 Sin was…well Sin 4 Sin. They always bring the high energy, who gives a damn attitude to every show they play, KB has played with this band several times and they never fail to give an amazing show – their guitarist rocked it, even though he was hurtin’ pretty bad (it never showed on stage, that’s the power of rock n roll) but we want to know if Josh ever bought him a beer….

Then our heroes went on and by that time the audience was sooo pumped that the show took on a life of its own…the band fed off the audience, the audience responded, the band fed off that, the audience…well, you get the idea. By the time Lizzy Bordon went on, the roof was already missing!

If you’ve never seen Lizzy Bordon perform – you’re missing something, a theatrical mix of Ronny James Dio meets Marilyn Manson meets horror flicks acted out during their songs. they put on a great show, met with the fans afterwards and were great guys to work with, we hope to meet up with them again!

Next up, The Trauma Teddy Bear Run in Conowingo Md. June 4 through June 6. a 3 day festival for bikes and bands, bring a teddy bear to donate and come on out! KB is playing on Friday the 4th.

Busy Times

Last night the guys played at the Timonium Fairgrounds Exhibition Hall. A benefit show put together by Groundwire Records – thanks again Mona, we had a good time with LeftStronger and all the other bands on the bill.

Next up is Bourbon Street this Saturday May 22 opening for shock metal god Lizzy Borden, along with Sin 4 Sin, Atomic Motel, and Lose The Halo, tickets are $12 from the band or $14 at the door.

Then the band has a week off to prepare for the Trauma Teddy Bear festival in Conowingo – gotta be fun, a whole weekend of bands and bikes – the organizers are expecting 20,000 this year. KB has an hour and a half set for this one, they will be doing a lot of songs they have had to keep out of their shorter sets. KB goes on around 6 pm Friday June 4. Don’t forget to bring your new teddy bear.

The new T-shirts are in – these you gotta see – Dynamite Graphics outdid themselves this time!!!

Ram’s Head Live! show April 2

This show kicked ass! From start to finish, all five bands were great. There was a great vibe in the room, the audience was fired up and the staff at the venue were excellent. The co-headliners Stereo Trigger really sounded great!

Sound check was early so the band went to the Hard Rock Cafe for some dinner – big mistake – Johnny Sexx was plotting the theft of one of John Bonham’s drums while Jonny B. was trying to see how the Aerosmith autographed gold top was attached to the wall. The crew managed to get everyone out of the restaurant without incident and back to the club.

KB’s set started off with Johnny O. from Renegade TV (catch his season premiere Saturday night April 3rd at 12:30) giving a great introduction – that was really cool of him as he was just there to see the guys perform.Then he gave way to an opening drum solo that pumped up the crowd even more and when Jonny B. kicked into their new song ‘One For the Money’, you could tell they were gonna be hot. The ballad, We’re Alright, was amazing – Jeff pulled out an accoustic guitar and his voice was dead on. By the time they got to ‘Go All Night’, the audience was rockin’ too! And the last song ‘Here We Go’ was needs to be on the radio! The guys were amazing – Johnny pounded out song after song with more style than any drummer short of Tommy Lee; Josh got into a zone and was on fire all set; Jonny B. laid out some of the sexiest counterpoint rhythms and lead riffs you ever heard; Chip was a monster on the bass – he must have spent half the set up on the drum riser matching Johnny’s thunder; and Jeff’s vocals were dead on all night.

Can’t wait for the next show – April 30th at Sinix – this next one is a Renegade TV, Shockwave Magazine party -with Breech, Ghosts of War, My Useless Self, and the Balbarians. This night will also feature the Sexiest Rocker Chick contest and it’s only 7 bucks – gotta be there!

Renegade TV Rules At Bourbon Street!!

The show at Bourbon Street turned out to be a blast – despite some struggles at the beginning. Due to problems with the on stage monitors, the boys set had a rough start, but by the time the set was half over, the crowd was roaring and the band was at the top of their game. The last song of the night, Here We Go, had the audience going wild! The headliner, Bang Tango, was awesome and everybody seemed to hit it off and promised to do more shows together in the future. The boys also made some new friends in the band Sons Of The Radio. All in all, it was a hell of a party.

Before KB went on, Johnny O, the host of the emmy nominated Fox45 TV show “Renegade TV”, interviewed the band for an upcoming episode. Johnny O then introduced the band on stage. As soon as we’ve got an air date for the KB episode, we’ll let you know, but check out this really cool show every week, beginning their second season with a new time, on Fox45 Saturday nights at 12:30.

Next up, King Belvedere is headlining a show at Ram’s Head Live! on April 2nd, tickets are $11 and it is an all ages show, contact the band for tickets. Then on April 30 at Sinix they are headlining a Renegade TV, Shockwave Magazine show – the band will be playing the new album all the way through at that show. Come on out, we want to see all of you rockin’ out for these shows.

New T-shirts

The new t-shirts are here, at $15 each, with the new band logo on them, this time through, they also come in a woman’s cut & color. We are getting them from Dynamite Graphics, who have a killer art dept. (those guys are way cool), the new logo and graphics on the shirts are great but to really appreciate their style, just check out Johnny’s new kick drum head! Merch tab on the website will soon be hooked in to the Dynamite Graphics page so you can order the stuff direct.

We still have the first CD “Aint Got No Shame” on sale for $10 at the shows, but if you mention the website price, you can get a new shirt and “Aint Got No Shame” CD for $20 at the April shows.

Remember, we’re still collecting teddy bears for the Trauma Teddy Bear Run at all gigs.

February Change of Schedule

The recording of the new album progresses, but between the time off for family events during the holiday season, football playoffs, and a new-found perfectionism in the recording studio, the scheduled release is moving backwards. The guys are still planning to release in the spring but now it’s more like early May than early March. To keep up with this new schedule, the boys have decided to cancel all the February gigs and concentrate the whole month on recording. The next gig will be March 5 at Bourbon St. with Bang Tango. All the guys have tickets at $12 each (they will be $14 at the door).

This is a true all ages show so everyone is invited – e-mail the guys (see the contact page) if you want to reserve your tickets.

Teddy Bears For Tragedy

The band does have some other shows coming up and among them is The Trauma Teddy Bear Run festival at Camp Conowingo June 4th, 5th & 6th. KB is scheduled to go on June 4 at 6 pm. The idea of this charity is to collect NEW teddy bears for distribution to shock trauma, local police, paramedic, and fire departments who may be dealing with kids who are going through a trauma situation – a scared and badly hurt child could be given a bear to hold onto during this very frightening time to help them cope with the fear they will be facing.

If you can’t make the festival, the guys will accept teddy bear donations at any of their shows or e-mail us and we will try to get someone out to pick them up if you need.

Some of the acts booked for this 3 day bike fest are Jimmie Van Zant, Lou Gramm (Foreigner), and American Idol’s Amanda Overmyer. Tickets for this three day event are $60, $30 for kids under 10; and includes camping facilities. King Belvedere Retools

The guys in King Belvedere are really glad 2009 is over! It was a tumultuous year that saw the parting of the ways with some close friends and quality musicians. Gone from the lineup are drummer Rob Armentrout and bassist Kevin Versak (who played an amazing farewell show at Mac’s in Essex). This capable backline have been replaced by a veteran rhythm section – Johnny Sexx (most recently of Pierce) on drums and Chip Michael (with Delaware rockers Spicer) on bass. Johnny has been drumming at KB shows for much of 2009 and Chip joined back in September – after only three shows together, the audience response and industry buzz for the band has been terrific! Then, in December, guitarist Johnny B. (Coal and Girls Like Cigarettes) joined the band, giving the new lineup two awesome lead guitarists and allowing Jeff to return to his coveted role as lead singer, front man and all around larger-than-life personality.
