KING BELVEDERE
KING BELVEDERE As an up and coming hard rock band climbing out of 'Charm City' (Baltimore, Maryland), The Royal Rockers of King Belvedere launched their mission of "Rock, Roll, and Repeat" while defining their own sound, and have quickly established themselves as one of Baltimore's premier rock acts!
Gigging in and around the northeast region, King Belvedere rocks the same local scene that launched Baltimore's rock elite Kix, Child's Play and Charm City Devils. Setting out to mirror the successes of these local heroes, King Belvedere released two 'DIY' independent projects, "Ain't Got No Shame" in 2007 and the follow up "My Kinda Rock and Roll' in 2011. The Royal Rockers are currently in the recording studio constructing their greatest masterpiece, which will be released just after the first of the year, 2013. Hard, Driving, Fast and Loose best describes King Belvedere. If this is your idea of fun well strap yourself in cause that's what these guys are. As solid a rock band as you can get. The new release is currently being recorded at "Audio Production Factory" in Baltimore and is far more superior than any of its predecessors. Now running at full stride as a band, King Belvedere has honed their craft and is firing on all cylinders yielding some of their best song writing to date. The new release will contain 10 tracks of high powered, high energy, screaming rock and roll that grips your soul and refuses to let go. Formed in 2004 by the consumption of alcohol of the same name, members were recruited from as far away as New York, as close-up as Washington D.C., and Baltimore. Four amazing musicians all with different and unique styles playing riff-driven retro-power rock, King Belvedere has morphed into a dynamic monster on-the-scene today. The new music is speaker shredding, and a fist-pumping rocker's delight reinvented for today’s music fans, and presented in a balls-to-the-wall style that will remind you of why you love music in the first place. This is a band that comes along once in a great while, a band that shakes the foundations of the music scene, a band that proves once again that no matter where you come from, a great band is just that. Baltimore is a city that has the capacity to meld you into something great – if you survive the process. Initial feedback on the bands live performance says, "The band has solid stage presence and displays a lot of energy to get the crowd pumped!" and "This band could go places. It looks like there are doing all the right things, they were spot on and rocked." Completing their next opus is only the beginning for this band with plans that include touring, video's, press, charitable work, and more. If you've never heard of King Belvedere, you will... King Belvedere has performed as Direct Support or as an Opener for the Following National Acts:
Cinderella, KIX, LA Guns, Charm City Devils, Bang Tango, Randy Jackson (Zebra), Kipp Winger (Winger), Tracy Guns and the League of Gentlemen, Lizzy Borden, Faster Pussy Cat, Miljenko Matijevic (SteelHeart), Don Dokken (Dokken), Mandy Lion's WWIII, Amanda Obermeyer (American Idol), Modern Superstar, Planet 9, Iconic Tonic, and Cascadence.

King Belvedere-SHOCKWAVE MAGAZINE ALBUM REVIEW
Written by Steve Higgs Friday, 02 August 2013 15:17
Okay so I am a fan of King Belvedere, but their new self titled disc should give anyone into rock music an eargasm. It does have its' hedonism, raw energy, and raunchiness. From the opening "You Will Never Break Me" to the closing "Endless Road," every song is a winner. The album opens up strong and never lets up. The songs all have good hooks, wall-to-wall riffs, infectious melodies and killer solos. They have a good, crunchy sound but the real secret of this band is the rhythmic groove provided, in the form of bassist Jay Hitaffer and drummer Johnny Sexx. Of course, this is to take nothing away from newest member Alex White's talent on lead guitar with his fluid, effortless style of playing. White supplies some insane guitar work as he is an absolute wizard on guitar. Jeff McKenney's vocals are crisp and crystal clear as he has always been an excellent rock singer. He plays a steady rhythm guitar just adding much more to an awesome disc. The harmonies are second to none and add just that much more to push this disc to the limits. The production by Chris Dopkin is professional as it comes and with the top notch mastering by Greg Lukens this disc is a must for any rock music fan.

King Belvedere have CD release party in Philly
King Belvedere are a rock band that take their cue from 1980's guitar oriented rock. They hail from the Baltimore area and they have just released their third CD, it is self titled. you can file this under bands that don't suck. If you like bands like Kix or Faster Pussycat, you will absolutely enjoy this band.
They have been around for about nine years and underwent personnel changes. According to front man Jeff McKenney, "I'm the only original member left, members have to have a commitment ,to this band" , he said. Bassist Jay Hitaffer added, "We have to be able to get along, this line up is great, we all have the same goal, listen and play the same kind of music".
He is right, it's important for a band to have camaraderie or else it will implode. Jay and drummer Johnny Sexx are awesome people as well. They are both featured on advertisements against animal abuse. "I saw an ad for "show your soft side" with Henry Rollins in it. I saw it on my mother in law's page, she trains dogs, I'm a huge animal lover and I know the guys in the band are too. I started asking questions and they contacted me, Hitaffer said. He sports a foot high mow hawk. Johnny Sexx is also in the band . Hitaffer can be spotted on buses all around Baltimore with his Yorkshire terrier, Loki. Johnny Sexx has a cat Shadow. Both animals are big fans of the band, Hitaffer laughed.
That kind of publicity is helping the band. "When people listen to the music We want them to come see us live", said Alex White, lead guitarist. Locally, they are getting airplay on WMMR with Jacky Bam Bam and on Aquanet Radio.com. Live is another story. Any band make have ok songs, get a good producer and then they cannot deliver the goods live.
On stage at Studio 98 King Belvedere were not one of those bands. They were hampered by a small stage and you could tell this band was built for larger venues. They were all over the stage much like a caged wild animal, only there were four of them. Since they are from the Baltimore area, they would be right at home at the M-3 festival stage. People just have to give them a chance.
Baltimore is just about 90 minutes away. Hopefully, this band will not be strangers to the area, and pay more visits to the Philly region. Go see them. Better yet, go here.to buy their CD's then go see them live.

"King Belvedere" is a refreshing throwback to how Rock & Roll once was and a glimpse into the future of what's to come, all rolled into one big ball of high energy, ass kicking entertainment!
Working with "King Belvedere" was an awesomely refreshing experience. The professionalism that each and every band member showed was uncanny. Their showmanship was fueled by pure passion and their interaction with their fan base was truly humbling to witness. The overall experience I had with "King Belvedere" allowed me to remember why I chose to be a part of the music industry in the first place. -Will Clayton, Placid Promotions
PRESS Excerpt From: Thursday Local Artist Spotlight - King Belvedere 3/17/2011
"We had the pleasure of attending King Belvedere's album release party at Ram's Head Live in Baltimore on 3/11/11. We had never seen them before... We will see them again. Since it was the album release show for their new album "My Kinda Rock and Roll", the guys came out with a steady diet of 8 tunes from that album. This is King Belvedere's second album. The first album from 2007 has a lot more of a punk rock sound to it, where the new album is a hard driving rock album that may remind the listener of Guns and Roses. They really knocked this album out of the park doing it live at this performance. I think my favorite live song was "One for the Money". The band has a good stage presence and displays a lot of energy and get the crowd going. If you have the opportunity, go see King Belvedere live...they won't disappoint you. ”-K Rock - Mid Atlantic Rock Reviews
“They are King Belvedere, and man are they on the scene in Charm City. I had the pleasure of seeing them play a show recently. In a parking lot. In 90 degree heat. In the sun. For no pay. You know why? Cause these guys really love this shit. They are here to rock. And if it's a parking lot on a day when fire would melt, with their singer being sick.... you get the idea. They play because they love it. End of story. Their shameless and tireless self-promotion made me think: ego-maniacs? But I was pleasantly surprised to find the humility of someone begging for change on the corner. These guys are fun. Good time rock and roll. And they are absolutely everywhere. You can't go to a show without seeing King Belvedere. You are gonna see these guys out and about everywhere. They are more than just a band; they are a group of friends that love what they do (very nice to see in a money driven industry)" -Justus Steel - Shockwave Magazine
“King Belvedere...ah, Sweet King Belvedere. They followed P.U.S.H. and did not disappoint. I adore these guys. They're just plain awesome if you ask me. Before they played, drummer and absolutely huge personality Johnny Sexx was out in the crowd, schmoozing and wooing people. (He was also asking me to come backstage and give him a show of his own, but alas, nobody sees "the girls". Silly Johnny.) I felt bad, because we were running short on time and KB fans just weren't happy with them leaving the stage after they were told "one more song" by Vince. They did manage to make their people happy by edging in (another) one more song after the chants came from the crowd for "one more" after their last song. I can't wait to see these guys on August 21.
Christie Gerber - Shockwave Magazine
“King Belvedere got an opening slot on the Lizzy Borden tour. I was on my way up to video interview Lizzy and King Belvedere took the stage. The sound was great, nice loud guitars that cut through the mix, vocals out in front (the way they should be) and the band ripped into; “One For The Money” Great song, it’s got that Guns and Roses meets the Ramones swagger all over it. This band could
go places. It looks like there are doing all the right things I’ve seen them listed now a few times opening up for some great regional and national bands. I was only able to catch the first couple of songs from King Belvedere. I was seriously impressed. They were spot on and rocked. But… my 5 friends with me didn’t, and let me tell you they raved about how good they were. So I dig it when my friends say, “I can’t believe you missed this band, they were awesome!” so with that, I’m going to say everyone loved King Belvedere."-Dominic Cappelletti - Revolution Magazine
